when i was putting my cast iron gt-40's on, i noticed that on my stock heads i had valve lash caps on them. i asked the guy who i bought it from, and he said that the people before him might have done it because of the e cam thats in it.

does that mean that the pushrods that are in there are shorter than stock? if so, can i just use stock sized pushrods on my new heads? the new heads came with push rods, but they are too short, even a bit shorter than the push rods that came outta there.

please help guys, im in a real bind. thanks in advance

not all cases but sometimes the cam lobes are a little smaller than stock and u need longer pushrods. in this case rather than buying new pushrods he just got some lash caps and called it a day. i dont know if this is ur scenario but i have seen it before.

that i am not sure about but my guess would be yes. i dont think that the valves are any larger in diameter at the stem to where u wont be able to use them on the gt-40's. i would make sure u r going to need them though before throwing them on there and not needing them.
