Can anyone point me to some detailed directions for setting correct valve lash? Prefer article with lots of pics!

Don't know of an article, but if you tell us more about your valvetrain, someone here can tell you.

Also, the websites of cam and rocker mfgs like Crane and Comp often have pdf instructions.

1966 Mustang 302 Aftermarket Manifold, Road Demon 650 CFM Carb
ceramic coated headers, C4 Trans, 4:56 Gears. Solid Cam, solid lifters.

I was told te engine was bored over .030 and stroked. Has a quick rev from 1000 to 3000 with hardly touch oof pedal, Was dumping fuel and have tamed the carb a good bit and now is burning fuel better, but noise persist.
I described noise to my brother who said I should correct valve lash before any more drastic measures are taken. Engine was rebuilt 3000 miles ago, but nothing done to it since. Brother talks to fast and makes it sound to simple.

I havn't forgotten about your engine. Just trying to exhaust all possibilities of saving mine before making anither major outlay.

No prob DAZ. I threw it on Ebay for the heck of it.

As for that Email address that I gave you...the guy's name is Mike Harris. He has a site with a lot of useful info.
