i have a set of 215cc rhs assembled heads, came with the crane valve springs listed.but i am running a trickflow stage 3 cam and wanted to run the recommended springs for that cam.was wondering if i can just swap out the springs for the listed trickflow ones and be ok using the same hardware(retainers, locks, spring locators)i called summit tech dept and they said it would be fine, but just wanted some other opinions.also i noticed at the same installed height, the trick flow springs are .050 further from bind if i read correctly?also, was wondering if since i had the extra bind clearence,if i could step up rocker ratio to 1.65 to gain a max lift of .614 and be ok?tech at comp cams said the .595 lift cam would be ok with the comp springs installed, but was on the edge of ok.the comp springs hit bind at .650 lifty is what he says, but they recommend a .550 lift max as safe.

You need to talk to a cam guy. I would recommend talking to Camshaft Innovations. There is one thing that you did not mention anyone talking to you about: I/H (spring install hieght) this is going to play a big role in the question you are asking and I would leave it to a professional to give you the advise you need. Another one is desired RPM range and car core. Keep in mind, if you contact CI, he is not going to give you a part #, he will take you information and provide you with the proper spring for you application and tell you the proper I/H. One thing to remember about the tech departments you mentioned: Do you know the background of the tech? Are they just giving you answers based on a list and not experience?
