valve springs

hey guys my mods are below and as some of you may of read i only beat a 40th aniversity convertable by at the most 2 lenghts, so im going to go ahead and replace my valve springs with the ones reccomended with my cam, i was told that i will be able to rev higher and will gain a fair amout of power, i also got a 150 shot to be installed.

just wondering what your thoughts are on the valve springs, maybe i put the wrong cam in my car?
im stumped i really dont think that car should be close to mine just with a chip.

get some crane units, very durable by my standards, and I blow up everything!! I wouldnt be surprised if it wakes the engine up lots.

crane units? are you talking about valves springs? i already ordered them i got comp ones that go with my cam 215 dollars for the springs and locks and what not, i dont know if im going to do it myself are they hard to change?

i was told that my engine will be able to rev higher too? right now i redline at 5800

yeah it might, You have a 351 dont get crazy with it 6k is the limit!! Anyway, get a spring compressor from advance auto parts, from the loan a tool program, basically you pay for the item, them when youre done take it back and get your money back!! not hard at all to do if you want to pull the heads, I havent done it with the heads on before but the way you do it is, hook a air fitting into the spark plug hole, fill er up!! the rest I dont know, im assuming put a specific compressor on the valve, compress, take the locks out, along with the retainer. put new on repeat the process.
