Does anyone know what it would take to fit these valve covers (Ford P/N: M-6582-L302) on my '94 GT? The Ford Performance Parts catalog claims that these covers won't fit an EFI engine.

I'm going to be doing an intake and cam on the car soon and the factory valve covers are bubbling with rust, so I figure those would look good on a black mustang with a porno red interior.

i had 3" cowl but all you have to do to find out is get some clay or silly puddy, gum whatever put it on the front of your intake at about 2" and close the hood. if it sticks to the hood your going to have to get a diff hood or you should just probably stick with the stock covers.

if youve got the stock hood you may can get by with taking the hood liner off it may clear though.

Besides the spacer's you'll need, the alternator is another issue also...or least on mine it was....i had to cut a corner out and modify the cover to clear the alt...your bolt holes are off location cause it hits the alt....
your breather/oil fill has to be changed over also...as it has to go to the back side of the pass side...Swap over to a Fox set-up and a 1/2" spacer will do...

Drivers is no problem..

Cool, thanks guys.

BTW, is it just the throttle body size of the intake that is an interference without the spacer?

I have the chrome ones and I had to use the 1 in spacer, new hood. grind the back of the altenator, grind the bottom of my egr, and get a custom egr tube made. After all that it is well worth it cause those valve covers are sick.
