Alright, well last winter I got a different motor put in my car, except the stock cam was replaced by an E303. Ever since then theres been a ticking noise coming from somewhere in the valvetrain. Could my cam have been the cause of this? And whats the best way to figure out what exactly is making the noise, as I wanna get it fixed before I spray somemore nitrous :) If I take the valve covers off is it going to be obvious what needs fixin, or is there some sort of procedure? Thanks for any help.

Are you absolutely sure it is valvetrain and not an exhaust leak? A lot of people seem to think a lifter is bad or something similar, but it turns out to be a header leak. Double check your header gaskets before you start tearing your motor down.

The first thing to do is fix your exhaust leaks. If your car is making valvetrain noises, i.e. ticking, it will make it a lot easier to locate. And you never know it might just be an exhaust leak and you can cure it in one shot.
