I need info. on "Big" Vams,"you should have the "big" VAM. (What someone else told me,diffrent site)for my 86' 2.3T???
Thanks for all the info. that you guys been givin me latley!!!!
It's the vam found on SVO's, 87-88 TC's, etc. They have a 3" inlet/outlet instead of the standard 2.5" "small" vam. You need a big vam computer to use it though (unless you are running a Merkur computer).
I got a set of VAM's and each one does different deals. One of them allows me to drive the car but I detonate around 10psi of boost. I'm thinking its running lean. The next VAM is a reman one, with it on the car want idle at all, it gets to around 500 RPM and dies. Someone said to check for a vaccum leak but I just got through driveing the car with no problems into the garage to swap VAMs again?
OK now IM confused.......I just went out to the garage and measured the VAM. Well I was under the impression that the small is 2.5 outer to outer, and large is 3 outer to outer. I used 3 different tape measures to get the measurement because I was unsure and each time it was 2 3/4 so I took the part numbers off of it and am hoping that one of these two can match somebodys out there.
