First off...watch who you're calling an ass. If you can't have a sensible discussion without getting bent out of shape and/or resulting to name calling, don't post at all!

Second, I didn't suggest a cutout system at all. Quite the opposite actually. I merely clarified the term for a member that was misinformed on the definition. If you’ll re-read my posts, you’ll undeniably note that I suggested not bypassing the mufflers at all and think the sound of an un-muffled exhaust (whether its bypassed pre-muffler, pre-cat, or within the body of the muffler itself) sounds awful to start with....that was my personal opinion...not gospel! What's not opinion however, is that unless the engine is prepared to utilize this type of exhaust flow, its actually going to end up costing usable power and drivability. If a raspy, obnoxious exhaust note is more important to the original poster than retaining horsepower and torque, then by all means....forge on ahead, but its been noted just the same.

If some you guys are of a different opinion than myself, that’s fine, but this was a discussion about the sounds of a variable exhaust system. I posted my opinion on what I thought about it just like anyone else did or has the option to. You may not agree with it, but that’s no recourse to get bent out of shape because of it. If the original poster chooses to ignore my advice and move ahead with it, he’s more than welcome to. It’s his car and his prerogative. But when you post it in open forum for all to see, don’t be surprised if the opinions on the subject vary!
