Lately ive noticed that in 3rd gear at 6000 rpms on my factory tach. ( 5600 on the dyno ) my charger makes almost 11lbs of boost, but in 4th gear at the same rpms boost levels are between 9-10 lbs. Anything less than 3rd gear and i dont get a chance to look at the boost gauge as the car tends to get squirley pretty easy on the street. I still have the stock long block, and I know my valve springs have takin a beating since the charger went on because I missed a shift a couple of times and really over reved the engine. My car is well maintained and hardly uses any oil and doesnt blow smoke. Im just at a loss as to why the boost levels would vary in different gears at the same rpms.
