Vent fan acting quirky. Only works on max setting.

One afternoon when I went to turn on the vent I didn't feel any air. I soon realized that the fans were only working on the highest setting. The same goes for it wen the A/C is turned on.

Could this just be a fuse or is something wrong with the knob/switch?

The fan was working fine on the way to work. When I turned the car on and started on my way to work I noticed that the interior temp wasn't getting cooler despite the AC being on. This is when I noticed the fans were running. I played with it a little and discovered that they work only on the "max" setting.

sounds like the blower motor resister is bad. it is held in with 2 screws, has an electrical connector and is to the top left of the blower motor.
