That's beyond ridiculous; it's like he's holding your car hostage at this point! He should be kissing your ass from here to sunday instead of making insulting offers like that. I've been following this thread for a while, and I've just been amazed at how much these people have been jerking you around. I don't see how they could stay in business very long treating their customers this way. It's definitely good that you filed a complaint with the bbb and make sure you follow up on it once you get the car back.

Anyway, I really hope everything turns out ok for you on this one.

good luck with the cobra payments. I priced me up an insurance quote to drive my dads car (just to see how much worse i look on paper than my dad), they wanted a whopping 9000 a year to drive it. my dad pays for him, my mom, and their 3 cars.....1200 a year.

There is no way on earth I would have let anyone do that to me. This is almost comical... I know its not for you, but I've never seen or heard anything like this. Just go over there and demand the car... period. Whether its done or not, just get it the hell out of there and don't pay them a freaking dime, I sure as hell wouldn't.

i don't understand? the car is drivable, the gasket is on so what's the problem... it's time to get out ur extra set of keys and go get ur car.. or is that trespassing, hmm maybe not the best idea, but 'difficult times call for difficult measures'

taking a car off a lot without permission is grand theft auto, even if it is yours. if you have a bill to pay, then you can get serious trouble heading your way.

So basicaly they are screwing you back even harder almost promsing your car won't be ontime unless you pay them more money. THAT IS TOTALY BS DON'T TAKE IT GET YOUR CAR IN LEAVE! It's time to walk in there get a flatbed and a freinds pickup and take ALL you parts with you. If you want your car in your lifetime and your brand new engine to run right you better get in there and take it somewhere else ASAP! Don't pay them a cent either your demands are getting no where with them you have given them WAY to long. A engine swap should take 3 weeks tops! And that is strecthing it.

Which is why you call the cops file a complaint and go thru the proper routes. Regardless I'd "steal" my own car any day to get it out of the hands of some retards like these people! Let court settle it which is where this looks to be heading unless he takes some real action.

thank you 95vert. finally someone with the same view. i didn't want to come out and say it like that, and then get flamed for it. but since you went there, i'm with you. no pity.

he might as well go to the shop empty his pockets on the counter, get on his knees and take the foreskin to the chin.

it look s like he's letting this happen to him. and in the end he'll get what he dropped off with the timing bumped up a little.

i feel the same way as you both, if people flame us for saying what we think, then they shoud go to straight to hell. i mean, it has been almost 3 months and he keeps getting the sam bs excuse, when, oh when will you wise up boss, come on!! we're here to help out fellow stangnetters to a point, but when they let this happen over and over and over and over, then it's his thing if he does nothing. 5liter, and don't think that we're being absurd, just think about it. yeah, they're you parent's friends, but still, call the bbb and tell them to take action now and go with them to pick up your car. if they do anything to it, you know who did it.
