Vent removal

How do you remove the double vent above your heater/ac controls?

You wedge something in the corner and pry it toward you.

Thanks, I thought thats how it was done but I didn't want to break it.

You probably wil wind up breaking it that way. You pull out each vent by hand and then there will be 4 tabs ( 2 on top, 2 on the bottom). Take a small screwdriver and lightly pry up each tab and pull outwards as you pry on the tab. After all 4 tabs have been released, it will slide out.
