vent visor

Anyone with the vent visor?
I can't figure out where they supposed to go, either on the paint surface or plastic surface.

I would appreciate any help (with pics).

I've never see them in person, but looking at the pic from the accessories catalog, it looks like they adhere to the plastic.

I thought they were supposed to fit inside the window channel and affixed with included 3m tape. The outer lip would just rest on the paint surface
