Besides, any "hammering" would likely be done out at a bar or resturaunt. Hotel bar prices are way high.
My bro lives in Venice. (that's sort of 1/2 way for all?) He could hook us up with the "right" resturaunt, and we have a real nice Marriott right there at Marina Del Rey.
And there is alway's the Freak show of Venice to entertain.
