Well first snowfall of decent numbers..7" overnight!! The verdict on the Polartrax on the wifes 04GTvert...Polartrax 225/60/16 on steel wheels with stylish 20$$ hubbcaps is EXCELLENT! For those of you considering a snow tire for the winter all I can say is don't hesitate, the difference was 200%. Now I can actually stop at an intersection without worrying if it will actually begin moving when the gas is applyed, corners great, cuts the snow great...better than I ever expected.

I love my Blizzaks. First time in the snow today and boy did she tear through it! Started in 2nd from dead stops and was good to go! Amazing difference over my all-seasons i had on last winter. :)

Funny Story: At a stop light this morning on a non-paved road there was a pickup truck with a plow on the front of it. Light went green, I just went on my merry way. I look behind me and there was the pickup sidways and sliding into oncoming traffic. :X Blizzaks FTW!

I will add a couple 50lb bags of salt to the trunk...I don't think I'll have to worry about getting a ride to work on the "bad" days again. Also nice part is my gorgeous polished 17's can rest in the garage and not endure all the damn salt put down.

I barely made it home last night...took me over 2.5 hours to make my usual 40 min commute. Drove my wife's Escape to work today. It's great in the snow and doesn't even have 4WD.

Now I'm seriously considering the snow tires with steelies!

I am running 4 studded Winterforce tires on V6 wheels. So far (only had light snow) they have been great. Can't wait for a real snow fall to really test them out.
