Does anyone know how (or where I could find instructions) to remove the trimthat runs around the base of the convertible top? This would be the trim that the boot cover connects to. It looks like it clips on but I haven't gotten a good look at it. I need to take care of a rust spot.
Each trim (each side) has 4 studs attached to it and is bolted on. To remove it, it is a tight squeeze and you have to be very carefull not to break any of the studs. When I removed mine, I put the top down and took a small open ended wrench and unbolted it. I forget what size the wrench I used was, but it was small. There is also a screw holding the trim in that is attached to the interior qtr trim near each rear qtr window. Good Luck
