very bad vibration

i have a vibration in the shifter (T5). it is speed related not rpm. i replaced a couple of broken wheel studs(rear passenger), and both u joints. i moved the wheel from broken wheel stud hub to the front moved the front to the back. the vibration still there and nothing in the steering wheel so i dont think i have a bent rim. is there anything in the tranny that would cause a vibration like this. i dont think its the balancer the rubber hasn't moved and i dont have any vibration sitting still revving. anything above 40 mph is untolerable and it doesnt matter what gear or rpm (pull the shifter out of gear and its still there.) any ideas would be a great help thanks.

Is it an aftermarket shifter? I noticed ALL my Mustangs with a/m shifters have had a vibration, or noise or rattle. All my transmissions were in good shape, some were even new. The rod that the shifter ball went into had the nylon cup too. I noticed that the rubber boot that bolts to the floor under your shifter boot in the console helps reduce noise tremendously.

Check your driveshaft for a missing balance weight(s). Remove it and inspect it closely...I missed a proper diagnosis because of that. If that it...you can buy a new one or find a DS balancer shop in your area, they should be able to balance it for 60-70 bux.
