I have an 01 v6 with 5-speed and I need some help. I have this very nasty vibration that comes and goes. It gets better the longer i drive, doesn't depend on speed or engine speed. doesn't matter if its in gear or in neutral or if the clutch is depressed or not. there is a noticeable lack of power during this vibration and then runs great when its not vibrating. last night the alternator started not charging during this vibration but charged well when the vibration stopped. didn't take long and the vibration started again and did not ever go away. Battery died and had to start her up by popping the clutch. I know the power steering pump is leaking but i haven't had any steering problems. the power steering pulley has some axial play in it and i don't know if that is normal. I am on a limited budget right now and can't afford to replace lots of things until i replace the right thing. so I'm thinking its either the power steering pump or alternator. please help
