I need to buy a fuel pump for my blower, and i want to know what the lph is of the 03 cobra pump. any one know??? also, where is the cheapest place to buy it??? is there a substitute that would be just as good for a cheaper price?????

Thanks,
Joey

You need the cobra tank for the pumps, and thats the other thing, the cobra setup is two pumps. A GT pump comes in it's own canister while the 03 setup just sits in the tank with baffles and air tubes. It'll cost more than 155 for the pumps.

i need to replace my whole gas tank to replace the pump????????

if you want the Cobra pump. if not, then you don't need to. but with the Cobra pump, there isn't the pressure loss below 1/4 tank like with other pumps, or so i'm told.

I posted this same question in the SVT forums, and they said you don;t need to replace the tank. Im going to call JDM Performance tomm and ask them. They will know.

You dont have to replace the tank.BUT if you dont you will not have any baffling in the tank to keep fuel around the pumps.

The best thing is not to skimp on fuel with a blower.

I running 03 pumps\tank with a BAP and it holds my car just fine.

I caved in and bought the '03 cobra pump. Got it on ebay for a decent price brand new in the box. I'm happy. I know the GT tank has to be modified to put in this pump, but does anyone know exactly what has to be done for this to happen???? Can you get to the fuel tank without dropping it??? Is it accessible through the trunk??? Any input would help. Thanks in advance.

You have to drop the tank to put it in. The hardest part is getting that stupid filler neck to pull loose out of the huge rubber grommet. you have to drop it down a little and then just pull the crap out of it until it comes loose. You'll need a jack and an extra set of hands, but besides pulling out the filler tube, it's really easy. Just make sure to run out all of your gas first, it doesn't have to be empty, but under a 1/4 tank really helps or else you'll make a stinky mess.
