Very slight ticking sound from engine at idle.. just my imagination?

I don't know if this is normal or not (please let it be) but once I start the car there's this ticking noise coming from the engine area. If I stay inside the car and close the door and window, I cannot hear it. I have to be outside and get near the hood to hear it.

Is this normal? It's a slight tick sound. Only does it when idle (I think)..

umm, fuel injectors???

Famous tick, its the injectors. All GTs do it. As long as its a TICK and not a rattle/knock.

Yep, most of the "ticking" sound you hear is probably the injectors. No problemo!!!

Do mustangs have much problem with the valves ticking? I've been hearing a tick lately from my engine, changed my oil and it didnt help much. Its new though, never really heard the tick before
