Well about the engine losing oil pressure the starter still spins the motor so i doubt its that. About the pickup coil would this pervent the coil from sending spark to the distributor? when we tested spark we did it between the coil and distributor and we got no spark

No pulse from the PIP sensor, no spark and no fuel injector pulse either. The distributor gear needs tp be pressed off because you need to remove the distributor shaft to change the sensor. A lot of guys just buy a reman distributor since it is easier than pressing the gear off & back on.

I still haven't tried the distributer but I changed the computer with no luck. I also can not get the digital code scanner to hook up the computer. This time when the car shut off i check and both wires going to the coil had 12v

i had a similar problem with my car.

Sometimes would not start in the morning, would not start when hot,
would die at stop light, etc.

Replaced distributor and TFI. Running fine ever since good luck!

Fixed

I'm sorry I doubted the distributor theory. You were all right the car ran for just over 2 hours with no problem. Thanks I also figured out the check engine light was a unplugged map sensor. So i have a running car knock on wood

I hate to be a pessimist, but how is the oil pressure?

Years back I had a pick up that leaked oil BAD. When the oil level got low the pressure would still register on the gauge, but flow was not high enough. It didn't take long for the engine to seize. After the motor cooled, it would start back up. It was hard to trace the problem when the oil gauge still showed pressure.
Maybe a piece of gasket found its way into the pickup tube or into an oil passage somewhere, and is restricting flow.

I hope that you have enough good luck, so that this is not your problem!

That happened to my car.
