I don't know if any of you guys heard but, two days ago a kid in a C6 Vette went through the straight away at Sebring. He didn't know there was a corner there and went through the sand into the wall. Was flown to the hospital via helicopter.
As did I. But it has been going around in a couple different online forums. A heard about it from a guy on LightningRodder and saw it on Need2Speed. But I couldn't find anything on LightningRodder and Need2Speed had basically nothing.
Although appearently someone in a race corvette went through that same area a few weeks ago. His throttle was stuck and he hit the wall, reports of fairly high speed over 130mph(heard 151mph not sure) sadly the guy didn't make it.
The guy who died was in full race car, and the throttle stuck. At those speeds and coming up on a corner not looking to hit the brakes till the last second. Doesn't give any driver awhole lot of time to react.
