I made several changes to the suspension and since the completion a vibration is felt at steering wheel, especially when being in 1-3rd gear, or neutral - the wheel visibly shakes (in 4th gear stops shaking)

The changes were: new lower control arms (moog k3601), low profile pirelli 225/45/17 tires, monte carlo bar, new strut rod bushing, new transmission rubber mount. The car has v8 302 and t5, manual steering.

Have and of you experience this and where did you find the source of vibrations? Wheels should be correctly aligned (done the wheel alighment twice, in-between experimenting with caster and toe). all ball joints are tight.

Check your motor mounts and your rag joint. Also check your inner and outer tie rods.

Make sure your clutch linkage is properly adjusted.

Does the steering wheel actually waver from side to side or do you just feel a vibration? Could be a bad front u-joint. Could also be a tire with a defect in the molding causing a flat or soft spot.

The wheel actually wavered from side to side, even dashpad was shaking a little.
It turned out that new PU transmission mount, was causing all this! It was stiffer and wider than OE ford rubber mount. It is beyond my imagination how could change in transmission mount have such big impact on the steering.

Check your motor mounts, they may be thrashed and the trans mount is now taking all the vibration and since it is basically a solid mount it is transmitting all the vibration into the chassis.

if all four tires and rims are the same rotate them ,see if there is any change
if the vibration is felt at an idle may be having an issue with a spark plug or wire
or timing

It was trans mount causing all this (motor mounts are <1000 km new by the way)
