Hey guys so finally got my exhaust all done. I have Mac Longtubes, I got a VRS xpipe, and I welded up a small catback with bullets and no tailpipes.

Thought i'd give my feedback on the VRS pipe. The quality is real nice on it, and the price was VERY GOOD, it was like 160 plus shipping. The only problem I had was the xpipe did not line up with the headers. It wasnt even close. I ordered them specifically for MAC headers, but my headers are off a 94-95 mustang so I am not sure if that is why it didnt fit, but it was about 3 inches off from lining up. I ended up having to cut it and make it wider to fit. Not sure if it was their fault or my fault but either way here's the video.

The link doesn't work. All I get is a vid from the "dog turd cam" of somebody leaving in a car (w/o a front fender) and coming back 5 seconds later and revs the engine in the driveway.

You must live really close to the muffler shop.

Where's the part that shows the exhaust all done?

That was the video of my car....the video as to show how it sounds. Why would I live close to the muffler shop, I built the exhaust myself.

What di u expect pictures of some pipe? I just care about how it sounds.

Just kidding around.

And yes, since you built it, I expected to see your workmanship.

Not aimed specifically at you ( so as not to offend)

But videos of exhaust taken from from a camera w/ either a weenie mono mic, or built in stereo mic(s) placed so close together that there is no separation, makes for a poor representation of how a car sounds. Add that to the fact that it is typically listened to on computer speakers and the end result tells nobody nothing about how any car sounds.

(other than it's loud)

You may as well edit out the sound altogether and caption below the vid
Vrrooom! Vrroom!

Seriously, Lighten up. I know you built the exhaust yourself after reading it. But, you left and came right back. I was only poking fun at the reason for that choice. why not leave it where it was?
You only have to read a few of the things I've written to know I'm a cynic.
And I can take it as well as I give it.

I have mac longtubes and a vrs x pipe specific to mac headers and i had the same issue.

I'm assuming you have Dynomax bullets? I have Magnaflow Magnapacks and I love the way it sounds.

Are you running tailpipes?

I see what you were saying haha, I had to get the front facing the other way to get it in the garage, so I figured Id grab a video of it moving around and some revs. I dont know what speakers your listening to it on, but it sounds good on my computer.

The fender was off because I was doing a wire tuck but decided it was kind of pointless and just moved it all back to the bay. The fender will be back in soon.

Ah. Wire tucks always look really nice, but after rewiring, and having to trouble shoot electrical problems on cars over the years, that is a nightmare I choose to avoid.

The sound is fine. Although I was a little disappointed when you pulled out then popped right back in. I thought you were going to pull onto the street and get on it.

Installing them wasn't bad. I had to lift the engine and remove the starter to slide them in but it took me about 1-2 hours. The hard part was having to hammer them to clear the steering shaft, that took me about the rest of the day having to put them in and take them out about 5 times before it was ready to be bolted down.

I hope you like them more than i did...i drove literally about 1/8 mile round trip on the ones i had and promptly took them right back off. They just sounded like an open H to me. I never did have them with tail pipes though.

No i mean the Bullets..they just didn't have enough tone for me after running the Magnaflows for so long. I think they're a muffler that sounds better on a more built engine..i may like them more now than i did back when my car sounded stock.

Oh yea I agree, I mean there just cherry bombs really. I really like the way they sound on my car though. I like it loud, its not my daily driver so I like making a lot of noise. If I were to ever put actual mufflers on it the only ones I'd go with are bassani, everything else is blehhh.. I will say I like them with the xpipe a lot more than with the hpipe.
