Pulled the wheel quite a bit. Looks like the car is twisting up a bit though, what suspension mods do you have?

question for ya...is 91 what you normally trap in the 1/8th with those mods? I just slapped on a set of 28in mickeys and my trap is right at the 90 ball park on 11psi. I have pretty much the same mods you do minus the suspension work.

Just curious lol. I trapped 95 before the tall tire and i thought there was something jacked up with the car cause i was barely touching 90.

idk to be honest i used to trap the same mph with the 9 psi pulley (91)
like i said in the first post this was a test and tune day going back this week to see what it will do now that its tuned im looking for 95-97 MPH

Ok sounds good man! I am just curious what you make cause im not tuned on 11psi either right now. got a dyno tune on 9psi but the guy backed so much timing off cause he was afraid to blow it cause it made 12.1lbs on the 9lb pulley. 13.7 on the 11 so he thought it would blow. came to find out my cats were getting clogged. so now im just running 11psi but will be getting my methanol kit back up and running to go back to the track. I trapped 95 pre tires though lol so the tall tire may be hurting me.

Oh and really the whole thinking for me on a 28" tire was wanting more power a little down the line. I know 4th gear tops at about 124 with 3.73s and a 26" tire and I wish i would have stayed on stock gearing at this point because it was much nicer getting 3rd gear to go out to 100mph and 4th at 135. But yea I am sure that its not helping me.

Go back to a 26" tire and you will both see a difference in accelleration. You really need a 4.10 gear to run a 28" tire. If it doesn't hook on 26's. Its time for suspension work.

yea i figured it was just my tires but always worries me because of how hard i push this car lol. it was trapping 95mph on nitto 315s on 11psi and was trapping 92 runnin 7.7s on 9psi on the kenne bell tune lol. So I knew that if I am running slower with a better tune and different tires than it had to of been something i just changed. IE the tires. But then again that was also the first time i had raced the car after the dyno tune. So maybe the tune isnt as good as the KB tune. Or its just far less aggressive lol who knows.

I also am just now getting around to installing my cold air kit from KB had the big tube kit on with stock airbox and my dyno tuner had my fan temps coming on at 200 degrees with the 160 thermostat so just this week i had him change them to 175 to come on. The blower was getting crazy heat soak sitting in the pit lanes.

i got it tuned the other day and its got 19 degrees of timeing and its at 11.7 across the board but well be giveing it a race tune this thursday with race gay see if we can add 4-5 degrees and see what she dose

as for as running a 26's i dont like em cause then i have to shift into 4th gear in the 1/8th

with my 28's i just top 3rd after i pass the finishline its perfect

hahahaha thats the same reason i wanted the 28s. 1/8th mile is what i normally run and i hated shifting to 4th just before crossing the line. it was either bang the limiter across teh line and lose time or shift to 4th and lose time. definitely was not fun.

and too if we continue to increase our power limits 4th gear is gonna be topped in a 1/4 as well. heck 11psi is gonna get you about 119 to 120mph in the 1/4 and 3.73s you will top at 124. so basically 14psi is gonna get you there. and 14psi safely is gonna be my future goal here.

I have already run 14psi with methanol but not at the race track. I just got the methanol up and running again last night so i may see whats up when the weather is nice and it stops raining.

So just to clarify, you would rather run a 28 and be slower, than run a 26 and be faster because you have to shift into 4th? Something to think about. If anything just trn the rev limiter up 200 more per gear and it should take care of the last shift!
