VIN question

I have a 87 mustang 5.0. It has T-tops. It is a true 5.0 Not a swap job. How can I tell if it is a GT or a LX. What number or letter on my VIN can I look at to see if its a GT or a LX. I am just curious about it. I have heard that LX T-top stangs are hard to find. Someone here should know or can point me in the right direction.

41 LX
42 GT

and if that is in deed the car you my friend have a GT you can tell by the ground effects kit on it! the lx doesn't have any of that!!

If everyone new the history behind this car you would understand. Its been hacked up. Mis match parts rigged up.Car almost caught on fire on me. Bad electrical. Car will be done by summer.Got the car ripped apart I have pics to show. I will put them up on my site later. It is a GT by the vin. Thanks for your help. Check my site later you will see the pics.
