Vin # question

I just noticed that on the vin# on the bottom of my windshield it has the words "Air Bag" stamped over it in white letters, what does this mean? Ive never seen it on any of my mustangs before. I never got a car fax before I bought this car, is it possible that this means that the air bags have deployed and have been replaced? Any info is appreciated.

mine says that too, and yes the prevoius owner wrecked the car and the air bags deployed, but i think it would be damn hard to put that lettering on there

they are supposed to have it on every car that has air bags as a warning to people. o and carfax is completely unreliable, its totally dependent on an accident actually being reported.

I've had fifteen cars and that's not on any of them.

My Infiniti has it....and it has like 9 airbags or something.


EDIT: Whoops...nevermind it doesnt have it...just the VIN


BTW, to change that plate, you gotta take the entire dash off, and after that I think it's welded to the firewall
