I am considering going with the V2 or v3 self lubricating kit and was wondering in the future if I plan to build the block will the vortec be able to make enough power to take advantage of the built block?
Both blowers you mention are capable of supporting around 550 at the wheels with an intercooler. I recomend you buy a cxracing intercooler instead of the vortech aftercooler setup since its cheaper, is less weight, and has less parts to go break. I actually know of one guy who is making over 600rwhp with the old S-trim overspinning it. Unless you want to make some crazy power I dont see a need to buy a bigger centri IMOP.
Depends on your power goals in the end. I have the SI-V3 and love it. I'd rather have a bigger blower and not spin it as hard, if you don't mind the sound. Once you get past the SI-trims, the bigger blowers have a little more noise.
Thanks guys! I was aiming for around 550ish. That will most likely be my 5 year plan for the car. Winters...... I will be asking you some questions regarding c5 corvettes in the near future I am debating between a c5 or a CTS-V. A c5 Z06 if the price is right I have a question now actually?? Are c5 regular base vettes starting to show there age, or do they still kick butt??
