Well i have a vortech and when i first put it on i was getting 10 lbs. of boost now im only getting 7 or 8. I tried to to tighten it more but i didnt get it much tighter. I this the cause of my lost boost or could it be something else?
is there like a cog belt or whatever that i could get that would eliminate that problem if it is a big issue with belt slippage. thank happy 4.

Have you disconnected the vac line from your bypass valve to ensure that it's fully closing?

look to make sure your not loosing it from a leak on a gauge or thru some other vac line. and dont tighten the belt to tight you could mess up the s/c.

Also realise you lose a lot of boost with heat. Winter gives me almost 9psi and summer gives me 5-6psi...

Belt tension typicly just hurts the belt or bearings.

ya but it seems like he is talking about one day to another not seasons. And like i said dont make it to tight you should we able to twist the belt about half way around. What was going on on mine was that i would get 8 for about half a day then it would get lower to about 4 i found it was a vac line going to the spliter on the fire wall was coming off went over all lines found some small leaks no problems anymore. But at first i thought my belt was loose made it so tight i could hear the s/c kind of grinding like i said you will screw it up if its to tight.
