does anyone know if i were to buy a 99-04 vortech supercharger kit, if the mounting assembly and everything else would fit on a 96 gt.

This has been gone over before. Majority rule was that the mount is different with the early and late 4.6L The timing cover is different making some of the bolt holes not align. You will have to swap to the newer stuff.

IF you are able to pick up the kit pretty cheap, you can look at www.superchargersonline.com to get the correct bracket. You will need the 96-98 bracket.

And besides, as I understand it, you can get to your tensioner with the bracket installed... us 99-04 guys cant
