ok, i have a vortech v-1 s-trim blower. my first question is do you guys use the fmu unit it comes with it? i am not really sure how it works but i dont see it on alot of your setups. next with intercooler would you guys recommend. the air to air ones or the vortech water to air ones. i am going to buy or make one but i just want to know which ones you guys like better and which ones work more efficiantly. cost isnt really that big of an issue, because i know its cheaper to make on yourself.

Pretty much the only thing your going to use that came in the kit is going to be the head unit and the drain line. Everything else is garbage. At minimum a Focus fuel pump, or 03 Cobra fuel tank setup should be purchased, 42's, and what ever air to air setup you decide on for a intercooler. If your just going to buy one the paxton is a nice setup. You'll need NGK BR7EF or any -2 colder plugs, and for a tune you should be looking into a dyno shop with tuning ability. Check out the excalibrator 2. You can order some for the mods you have, but the tune will never be right until someone that knows what they're doing tunes your car.

Damnit, just saw you had a 96... Not sure what you need to do for your fuel system. You should still be looking into getting it tuned professionally however.

I don't have an FMU either. I just added an in tank fuel pump, inline fuel pump and 42lb injectors.

I wouldn't get the intercooler. My tuners is an authorized dealer of Vortec superchargers, and says they make the driveability and tunability difficult. My car has been going strong for 4 years now. If you want cooler air inlet tempertures go with a methanl injection kit.

I think it depends on whether or not you are going to get it tuned. I would run the FMU if your not going to get it tune.
