Ok, so I've made my final decision that I'm buying a Vortech. My only decision now is between the S-trim or SQ-trim.

I want something that will make some noise at idle, and will whine like crazy during acceleration, but I don't want it to be so obnoxiously loud that you can't hear my MAC cat-back.

So, would the S-Trim be okay or too loud you think? Will I still be able to hear the blower at idle with an SQ or no?

Are there any vids/sound clips of either of these (preferably in-car)? Thanks guys!

SQ is actually not that quiet. Can be heard at idle and has a decent scream when on it. The S can be annoying sometimes if you don't have a strong stereo. I've heard a few SQ trims at the track that a thought were S or T trims so others will know something is going on under the hood.

Get a TQ trim mongoose kit. Can be had for $250 more than the SQ trim kit.

I have the SQ and while you can hear it at idle it's not very loud and during acceleration it's almost silent.
By the way here's a vid of a guy with the S. Pretty damn loud! http://media.putfile.com/2001GTdriving
