I've had my blower on my car for just about a year, i bought it used and the guy before me had 2 years on it with a smaller pulley. Anyway ever since i had it its been louder then any other sq i've heard, instead of a whistle sound it makes more of a loud gear noise. It's still working fine and making good power but, recently its been making more noise. Im guessing its on its way out, so how much does vortech charge to rebuild the blower. What will eventually happen will it just stop working? There's no oil leaking from it or anything either. It's definetely a sq trim it says it on the blower. Im sure ambo will chime in he's heard the car in person and his blower sounds alot better, lol.

I know you can send in your blower and they will upgrade it to a T-Trim for around $1200. So I would think it will be less than that.

Just call Vortech and they will tell you every thing you need to know.

Sweet write up, good link! I agree on getting it rebuilt, but honestly if you're not a professional/competant mechanic don't attempt it yourself. Upgrading to a T-trim wouldn't be a bad idea at this point either

Benny, I agree on the T-trim upgrade. I think anyone with slight mechanical experience is able to rebuild a blower. Honestly, if you installed the damn thing, you can take it off, and rip it apart. Theres no damage you can really do anyway, if the blower is already worn down.
