This is a pretty nice idea to get it less difficult to install ( take a longer belt ) and then take off the slack by ajusting alternator on the bracket, love it !Correct , I used to have to walk the belt over the water pump and I got tired of that so I used a small block Chevy alternator bracket and bent it like the Vortech mount and now I can manually tension the alternator

I drilled a new hole for the tensioner pin to reclock it upward, with a longer belt that slip easier on the wp pulley i have to take off the small leftover slack. I did shim the vortech alternator bracket but did not like the way it was seating and it was very difficult to put the belt on again. So i ordered the adjustable alternator bracket just like TOOLOW91 and everything should be fine. Didn't even have to change my original wp pulley for the 93 cobra!
