Ok I origionally wanted a mongoose kit vortech sq. But I cant save 3 grand i end up buying other car parts. So If I buy the head unit from vortech for 2 grand. And then I buy the Base Kit from vortech(all the tubing and crap). Is that a complete kit minus the tune. And can I order a tune from modular powerhouse or can I order the mongoose kit without the supercharger?

you can order a "tuner" kit from MPH with the head unit, fuel pump and 42lb injectors.
but with the Mongoose kit you get everything in the Tuner kit, PLUS a focus fuel pump, 90mm MAF, IAT sensors, spark plugs, and an SCT X-Cal2 wih 3 proven tunes. If you already have an SCT tuner, you can send them your tuner and they will knock $285 (i think thats it) off the price of the Mongoose kit.
after a lot of research I'm going with the Novi 2000 Mongoose kit. just more complete.

i'm looking at the novi 2000 kit too. do you guys think it will be overkill on a stock bottom end??? i plan on getting a forged shortblock within 2 years.

no (its not overkill). look at it as an investment for the future of your stang. you can run a Novi 2000 at 8psi on the stock bottom end safely as long as its tuned properly. you dont want to make any more than 400hp on the stock internals. once you get the forged SB, crank up the boost on that sucker and make some mean numbersSaleenGT2001 said:
