The VSS is attached to the speedo gear on the 5speed cars correct? There is the gear and it drives what looks like a box that has the cable coming out of it.
VSS plays a part in the idle when slowing down correct (possible hanging or stumble that results in stall if not properly working)? Anything else besides cruise?
I noticed my Speedo was more or less working when it wanted to at slow speed and stop/accel driving. I have reason to believe my speedo gear (plastic gear on cable) is toast or something. Friday and Saterday I drove the car around and noticed at a stop the idle would stumble and want to stall. A quick rev when stoped broght it back and it would idle fine after that.
