if i get the VT stage one cams.I get around 22rwhp withought a tune .and could see around 30rwhp with a tune as i've heard. My question is ...with a tune what parameters change??..like fuel , air..etc
what do you increase or decrease??
One more thing. Will a mail tune for those cams be good enough withought getting a dyno tune?

i assume you already have the cams installed and dynoed to know they get 22hp w/o tune.

on that note i guess its possible to get close to 30 with it tuned. yea they will mess with the a/f ratio.

i dont think mail order will do the trick of getting you 30 hp out of them, if anything a dyno tune might.

not to hijack the thread, but what do you sacrifice in terms of drivability if you put new set of stage one cams in with a tune?
I have the stage II's,and have no drivability issues at all.I wouldn't worry to much about it.Once you have a good tune, you would be amazed how it will run, without sacraficing everyday drivability :nice: .The Mod motors run so much smoother then the pushrod engines when cammed,i fine anyways  .It's just like gears, everyone is scared to make the jump, but when they finally do,they go..."oh shat, why did i wait so long." :D

The stg 1s just have some jerking at LOW RPM with your foot off the gas and in gear. I got about 24RWHP from the cams alone. 33ish from cams, 75MM TB, and JLT RAI. And my car was tuned by Tim barth @ MPH.
STG 2s will drop some drivability due to the loss of lowend torque over the stg 1s/stock. But if your car is untuned before stg 2s and then tuned after stg 2s, I doubt you would see any difference till about 3500...then all heck would break loose lol. I need to get my vid up of my car with open headers, sounds like a race car....felt like I was at the track when taking the vid lol.
