I need your suggestion. What battery should I purchase for my 95 Cobra - Sears diehard, Duralast, Optima or any others etc.. What are the pros and cons of your suggestions. Peace.

what does it matter what kind of battery you have? as long as you have a warrenty... who cares?

unless you're matching colors and need the optima red top to color coordinate ur engine bay

here's my dissenting vote; go visit walmart and buy one of their batteries... lifetime warrenty w/ receipt

I have an Optima Red top, very happy with it. Has great reserve power and the car seems to crank up faster now. It was $10 additional to put a 3 year warranty on the battery, so I dont know what's such a "pain" about that.

I'd definitely recommend one

I had a red top Optima in my winter beater and it was sitting for 4 months without starting, and it started up fine. My dad had a interstate in his Mark VIII and he had it sit for 2 months and when he tried to start it, all there was was a click. He put in a red top Optima and it starts fine every time, sometimes it sits for 4 weeks without running.

My vote goes to Optima.

I bought an Optima yellow top for my cobra when i was on leave and because of my underdrives and the car was sitting it went dead. So i had my bro go and exchange it for a red top. Even after the car was sitting for awhile it's always started up and I've never had a problem with it.

I'm with donjohn, I go to walmart and just pick out a battery. I would rather spend that money on other mods and Gas. Or maybe just gas. Plus, I need to build a garage this summer mine has a wood floor and leans to the right.

I've always had good luck with the Diehard Golds

Once I left my headlights on in my F100 during a 2hr movie. When I came out, I was sure that I was going to need a jump. Shut off the lights, turned the key, and it cranked and started like a champ.

Hey thanks for the input. I purchased an Optima Yellow Top because I have the underdrive pullies and an agressive stereo system. I talked to the folks and Optima and they suggested the yellow top so I purchased it. It has more CCA amps (750) and CA (875) than the Sears Diehard Gold and other similar batteries and is suppose to be good for the electronics I have in the car, we'll see. I'm going to beat the hell out of it the first year while it's still under warranty.
