i want to make my intents clear .. i want to build a street rod 66 coup , but my problem is i cant find a good car to start with..

i have a 1990 gt great body needs paint , want new motor and suspension.

now my delima is i can do the same to either cars but only 1... what should i do ???

and second teh beast.. i would liek a motor setup that is realible if i decide 2 drive everyday,, its doesnt have 2 be n/a i wouldnt mind s/c and juice.. but i was thinkin of a high reving setup if possible ..

now i mentioned the above story so i dont wast money tryting 2 do both or selling my fox and getting bit on the ass 4 it.

High reving beast? Mod motor in a fox, real nice and revs like a mother, just my .02.

go with the cobra motor, that will give you the S/c and you can spray as well.

As for which car to build, only you can answer that question. However, if money is tight I would suggest sticking with the fox body. Too many of the older cars are money pits (not that a fox body isn't).

i think teh fox is my best bet the car is rust free and strait ... just have 2 do the usual mods 2 support the power,,, so i guess im going 2 do the body work then interior then all supporting mods the motor n tranz last

I started out with older Mustangs. In fact my 68 California Special was on the cover of Hot Rod in March of 93 (somebody please check....it was my 10 minutes of fame as a Street Racer!). There is 1 big problem with building an old mustang- maybe 2, depending where you live. The first is price. Old pony's ain't cheap anymore. If you don't live in a dry state, like california, rust is a really big issue as well. The truth be told, the best way to build a car is to buy one that is almost done. Let somebody else spend the money for you. If you are dead set on building your own car the aftermarket has everything you need available to build an injected classic pony. My friends and I have done it- its pretty easy. If you are not very mechanically inclined it will be very expensive.

i think i have that issue at home QDRHRSE-i wanna ck this out!

if you wanna build a high revver, like stroked said get a mod...making a 302 rev isn't too difficult, but getting it to live up there in the stratosphere is a little pricey...but if you can stomach paying a little more for a 4 bolt block, having the bottom end blueprinted and choosing the right cam and valvetrain will go a long way.

keep in mind the higher pk hp numbers, the more of a loss you will have in the low end, and thus driveability...how high are you planning to spin your beast?
