I just bought a neat little 1993 LX 5.0 from a kid in Montana. He wanted a bit more sound out of the exhaust so he had the mufflers removed and had the local shop Weld up some side pipes. Unfortunately, they hooked them up by cutting the back end off of the h-pipe just aft of the cats and welding the side pipes directly to the h-pipe.
Now, I am not trying to make this convertible a performance monster. I would just like a little sunny day cruiser. I would much rather have a nice quiet exhaust note than the extra power froma free flowing exhaust.
Is there anybody out there that has some stock exhaust pieces laying around the garage that would be willing to part with them? Especially the h-pipe. I would be more than happy to trade the side pipe set up for a stock h-pipe!
