Dunno. Duplicolor is pretty famous. I actually know a guy who painted an entire 78 AMX black with spray paint cans. Turned out pretty nice too.

I'm not even going to ask why you want to do this, but I will try and help. My buddy painted his Omega with Krylon semi gloss black, and it came out incredibly nice for $30.

I know this is a terrible pic, it was a cell phone.

I used Duplicolor on my car....mainly because their cans have the fan tip and spray in a fan pattern which is easier to lay on evenly (more like a real paint gun). The problem is that it's going to fade eventually...look at the pic in my sign, that used to be flat BLACK not grey.

Rustoleum Flat Black enamel in a can. Thin it out with mineral spirits, roll on a couple of coats with an ultra-smooth foam roller (allow to dry and fine sand between coats), and love it. One of those teeny little 1/2 pint cans should be enough for your entire hood, actually (when you thin it 50/50 with mineral spirits).

Darkwriter77s way is probably the best, especially if you plan to do this and keep it like this.
