Hi...I'm a newbie here. I have a 2003 GT. I haven't done any major modifications yet, except for adding an X-pipe with Flowmasters.

I tried to search, but the search engine excluded 20, so it made it hard for me to find specifically 20" rims. I'm considering putting 20's on my Mustang, but I wanted to see some more pictures first.

I also want to know from those of you running 20's...what size tires seem to work best? Especially if I decide to go with Sportline lowering springs.

Thanks...
Patty :o)

Well, you might not have much luck finding people here with 20's. Most tend to stick with either the 17's or 18's. I found this link with a few photos of some 19 inch rims...

Bullitt with dubbies, be careful though, I have seen some brutal stangnet beatings on here for putting 20's on a 99-04. Although I think this Bullitt looks great with them.

Plus you would be running on rubber bands for tires. If you drive a lot that isn't very fun.

Try not to take too much offense to these ppl bashing you for 20s. But seriously, don't do 20s. Stick with 18s. Your choices will be much better too. If you do sportlines and 20s, expect to hear your tire slamming into your wheel well quite often.

Again, stick with 18s.

no

20's will really hurt your acceleration too.

If you are going for some kind of riced out look, then 20's may be a good way for you to go.

If you care about performance at all, stay away from big heavy wheels like that.

when you start going to 20" on a sportscar, its safe to say the focus is on appearance, not performance. not everyone with a stang is a racer.

that said, good luck on finding the right rim. dont pigeonhole yourself on 20s alone. you might find a rim you like better in an 18", save yourself the added cost in tires, and with the drop, will look just as good. also, it can be hard to find a place to mount or replace 20" tires if you get a flat that cant be fixed. i went through heaven and hell with my old ram and the stock 20s i had for it when i got an unrepairable flat tire. i live next to boston, so i have access to TONS of tire shops and pros. there was no quick fix, i had to wait for delivery of the tire, and alot of places cannot accomodate 20" tires with their machines.
