I'm building an all-out budget drag car. The weak link right now is my transmission. It's the stock 2.3L T5. I know it's gonna break so I'm not even gonna waste my time. I was thinking why not just be smart and by a brand new automatic from summit with a full manual valvebody and go to town with it. What would I need for a T5-C4 swap? Oh yeah, I do have long tube headers. It still fits right? You just have to uninstall them every time you do tranny work? Thanks

youll need the tranny, bellhousing, flywheel, converter, flywheel bolts, and shifter. its really not a hard swap to do. just make sure you have everything right and you have a big enough cooler. i would call up some tranny companies and see what they recommend and their prices especially on a converter. the converter is what makes the car fast, but you also have to make sure the tranny is gonna hold up. dynamic racing makes really good c4's from what ive heard. good luck
