Well I’m going to paint every thing in the inside of my truck black tomorrow. I just wanted to know does the porno red cover up very well. Also can I sand the parts that are a little bit up, like the pieces behind the set belts? Or well the sanding just flatten the ruff surface of the interior. I just want to see what you guys think? Also do any of you guys have any pics of painting the red to black?

Thanks

IT WILL COVER. srry caps, with a coat or two depending on what paint your using, and are you dyeing the seats. and yeah you can either sand it smooth for the show car look or just ruff it up for paint to stick. after yous and it though. use a cleaning agent before your start painting.

hmmm and clean your floor pan too

Those pics are old. I took the cab off my truck and I had the whole floor redone with diomand plate and the box bed too. Also those seats are in the thrash. I'm using seats out of a 98 cobra again.

So I can sand all my parts down to be smooth(sp) and look really clean?

+1
My LX was originally porno red but the original owner painted the entire inside. He did a pretty decent job with about two coats, but you may want to coat athird or maybe fourth. There are a few light scratches here and there and the porno gleams right through.
Good Luck

yes but if you dash and your door handles are soft. kinda like in the mustang we like in mine they are the soft rubber material stuff. start sanding with a not so ruff.because...me i press hard and i sanded it smoth in about 4 stroke up and down. so get a grit paper of what you comfortable with. if you do it right you will get the look of fiber glass with the cost of fiber glass. im going to do it to my stang. the inside in my car whats brown will become PPG silver and whats white will become black and grey, and as for the carpet. i was thinking diamond plate or a polished alum floor:shrug: idk i got a while to think.

make sure u wash it before u sand a few times with some dish soap to strip the grease and wax etc off the wipe it down with silicone wax and greae remover before u start sanding otherwise ull sand the contaiments into the parts! and it will fish eye(from armor all etc)

oh yeah this is killing me? is that a screw driver sticking out of your column or did the truck used to be an auto?

BTW what engine is in it and trans? i like detail's!

No the truck is a auto, the kid before me owning it out a lot of ricer crap on it. I just haven't got to a junk yard to get a stock one.

Well for the truck engine I got a 300 straight 6 and a garret tubro and a beefed up coa4 tranny in it. I just got the motor back from being built.

P.S To who every said something about the rims and tires, I leaving those. I like the look of them.
