The headlamp warning chime in my 91 LX 5.0 has become very faint, so faint that I can hardly hear it. Anyone know where I can get a replacement and if so where is it located at. Thanks for any info, I am more of a Classic Mustang guy and dont know my way around the late models like I do the earlier models.

maybe the fuse is so slightly blown that only minimal current will travel. is your dome light dimmer than before?

Is that anything like being a little pregnant? :rlaugh:

Seriously, fuses are either blown and don't pass electricty at all, or they are intact and will pass the rated current.

The little guy inside the chime gets tired of beating on the metal bar to make it chime, so he goes on strike...

Mine does the same thing. Frankly I welcome the fact that it isn't loud. If it was, I'd have to find it and kill it.

The sound dont bother me. I tend to leave my lights or parking lights on now and then and I know one of these days I wont catch it in time.

I would rather hear that chime then to one morning come out to a car that has a dead battery.
