I did a search but came up empty handed. I have been eyeing the Magnflow catback for the past week, but I have a year and a half left on my warranty for my 03 GT. Have any of you been hassled by dealers after installing a catback? I am planning on tacking mine in for the t3650 tsb before the warranty is out. Thanks.

if anything, the cat-back would just void the warranty on the exhaust, but it really depends on if the dealer is an ass or not. if you're only worried about the 3650 tsb, then i say get the cat-back. theres no way a dealer can justify an aftermarket cat-back system being the cause of transmission problems. but like i said, a lot depends on the dealer. if you have a new exhaust installed and you take it in for the tsb and they say your warranty is void, i say . the only thing that could really screw you is an aftermarket shifter, but i've heard of dealers honoring the warranty for guys who have different shifters too.

Yup, due to the Maggnussion-Moss act the dealer would have to prove that the cat-back was responsible for the problem with the transmission.

if you're still unsure about it, take it in before you do anything to the car.

exactly. the dealer has to prove that the installed aftermarket parts were the cause of the problem. odds are that an exhaust will not effect your trans...unless of course you like the sound so much that you romp on it more and bang gears and break it haha...

on some cars the exhaust system cannot be altered w/o having problems, but the mustang isnt one of them. the worst you will ever have to worry about is getting MIL eliminators with an off road mid-pipe to keep the check engine lite from coming on due to lack of cats. it still wont hurt your car, though.

Yeah, you *should* be fine with just a catback. Not many dealerships out there are going to hassle someone over a warranty job if the only aftermarket part on the cat is just a catback.

If you start modding the car more heavily, ask other 'stangers in your neck of the woods about which dealerships are "mod friendly."
