Warranty Plate

I am not sure why my car is missing the warenty plate(a PO might have removed it or didnt transfer it when replacing the drivers door), but I was wondering if I can find a way to trac down my cars information such as interior options, paint, etc.

BTW, in '70 Ford moved from plates to stickers, so if your car got repainted, the sticker probably got painted over.

Thanks, but I already asked the marti report last year and they only "reprint" warrenty plates and not create one with information that I dont have.

Contact FORD for the missing information then call Marti and get your reprint...

I'm confused - the Marti report will tell you all of the options your car had and they print out what your warrenty plate/sticker had on it???

If you're asking how to get a plate/sticker reproduced, most of the big vendors like NPD, Mustang Unlimited, Mustang Plus, ... sell new plates/stickers. You give them the info and they'll make it for you. I forget how much it is, but it seems like its $30 or so.

Ok, I guess I need to clarify. My car has NO warrenty plate and I dont have ANY information about my cars warrent plate/

Maybe we're not using the same terminology??? Are you referring to the VIN or just the warranty sticker? I assume you have the VIN (vehicle identification number), which should be rivetted to the driverside dash at the base of the windshield. It should also appear on the upper surface of the fender/engine bay approns, underneath where the fender bolts to the appron.

Anyway, assuming you have the VIN, Marti Autoworks has all of the details about your car, from the order date to the build date, to the options the car came with, the rear gear ratio, interior style, engine, EVERYTHING! They can also then create an "original" window sticker and warranty sticker. For example, check out this version of his "elite" report:

Stop it! I have a '66 also with no warranty plate, Marti don't have any info for the 66...

Yes I have the VIN tag, but I dont think I have it stamped on my fender( I will check tonight when I wax her). Ok I found the page where they can locate information reguarding your vehicles info. Now because my car is a 70 model it asks what color my door tag is? Heres the page to see what I am talking about. If I plan to have them search for my cars information I am definately going to get a door tag.

Choose "unknown" and they might be able to tell you based on the plant and date when your car was manufactured.
