alright i have a 99 cobra w/ extended premium care warranty well my trannsmission locked up.....

now what are my options??? i do have aftermarket parts on my car that would obviously void warranty like off road x pipe , nitrous , and u/d pulleys

so what i am wonderin is if my tranny is stock are they gonna give me crap and void my warranty or are there places who are cool about that kinda stuff....and will warranty my trannsmission

and my othere option is pullin it out what all do ya think i would need to pull out as far as the nitrous just the soleniods ????
all help will be great i live in michigan also so if ya know of a dealership they will be cool let me know

thanks

Hell yea man! You better take that off. They voided my warranty w/ gears. I knew they would and i had to pocket out 1800 dollars. I i would have taken them out they wouldnt have known. I would take it off if i was you to play it safe, they just fixed my first gear syncro. and that was 1800. I said Damn.

At the very least I would ditch the U/D pullies, NOS, & DR's.

There's not a lot you can do about your full exhaust though!

U.M.

do ya really think the u/d pullys will be detected ??? the only reason i ask is i messed my crank pulley up....

and what about my cai cause right know i have the stock inlet pipe w/ my nozzle drillled into it but i could be put my densecharger inlet pipe on w/ no holes... or i can order a new stock inlet pipe and put my complete stock kit back on...... i wanna take all precasions so all advice is welcome

As far as I know from prior experience they can only void the warranty on parts tat are changed. For example you change the rear end gears they void the warranty on the rear not the rest of the car. Since your trans locked up as long as you haven't modified that in any way you should be fine. I had full exhaust, pulleys, 99 heads, and cold air induction on my 98 GT when the rear went and ford still fixed it no problem.

Also check with the ford people before they make a warranty claim to ford. The indiviual dealers deal directly through Ford. If one dealership says they won't fix it, as long as they dont make a claim with Ford you could still go to a different Ford dealer and try your luck there.
