Hey guys, what do you all use to dry off your cars? I've been using 15 dollar microfiber towels and I think they have been scratching it. My car is covered with all these fine scratchs that only show up when the light hits it. Also I think they will buff out and I'm going to use a buffer, what kind of wax should I use? I've been using meguairs and that seems to work really good, but is there anything that I should use to try to get the scratchs out? Also I just waxed it 3-4 weeks ago and I've been told before if you wax a car to much it will ruin the paint, is that true?

Are you washing your MF towels seperate of with other laundry? If so that maybe your problem right there. The nature of mf towels is to grab/absorb what ever they come in contact with. Thus why it is recommended to wash them in a seperat load. Also using fabric softner is a killer of mf towels don't use them.

To help dry your car faster before you start give your car a final rinse with the nozzle removed and allowing the water to "flow". This will help sheet the water of instead of beading off the paint leaving behind a lot of water droplets.

I love my waffle weave dry towles they work awesome and fast. Most cost between $15-20 for one 20x40 towels. BUT www.Danase.com sells a great budget towel for 9.95 for one or $14.99 http://store.danase.com/dadesuwawedr1.html
for two. I have three of them and love them, one towel was able to dry my dads 04' f150 without having to ring out the towel once *note*I used the "sheeting" technique*/note*.

For a wax Poorboys World Nattys (blue) is great. It leaves an awesome wet look http://store.danase.com/powonablford.html
For added wetness before waxing the car add a hand glaze like Clearkotes Vanilla Moose wax

Yes I have and use all these products so I speak fro experience not here say.

I use a leaf blower to dry my car off. Thats all I use. Then I'll open doors and trunk and use a towel around the edges. I only have a few fine scratches as a result. Once the car is dry I go over it with a detail spray.
