so it was cloudy when i decided to take the mustang as usual to work , i thought even if it rained it wouldn't be bad i thought....
and so i went to work , driving there i noticed little drops of rain which turned into a storm within 3 min.... i couldn't see further than 20 yard ahead from all the rain. it was too late to turn back now and so i made a left turn under a bridge i ... not knowing that they were doing maintenance to the street and that there are a 3 feet hole where the drain used to be , which was - funny enough - sealed and clogged it , and i basically took a plunge into the water and was like how the hell so much water gathered under the bridge in such a short time , the car stalled but basically floated till the dry pavement ahead , i opened up the hood and tried undoing the spark plugs and start it so it would spit the water out , well... it did... but it clunked like a bitch and so the rebuild began

The aftermath:

Dude, holy ****. Be glad those rods didn't break, or else you may not have a block that is rebuildable upon.

That is some BS about that hole, they should have definitely had that blocked off or at least a sign warning you.

I have no idea what your luck with the legal system over there would be, but I think I'd attempt to receive some compensation for that if possible.

oh they wouldn't compensate my family if i was killed, let alone if my engine bends a rod

i got some Manley H-rods and dish pistons for a replacement , also got a new intercoooler and Edelbrok intake , just to get myself to feel better about the car

i was mad for a while till i figured out its all the excuse i needed to start doing all the engine work i wanted
after all , its an accident , it happens and being mad about it doesn't really make it any better plus i have 2 other cars to drive , although the mustang is my favorite and i do miss driving it lots.
